I had just started my new job at the local children’s hospital, working with a team of people that included medical Residents. As I got to know one of them, he expressed concern that he and his wife had been trying to get pregnant but without success. They were observant Jews.

I asked him if I and a friend of mine could pray for them to conceive. He said yes. Then I asked, “You do know we will be praying to Jesus, right? He loves you, and I know he wants to bless you and your family!” He laughed and said, “Yes!”

So, I began to pray for them, and my friend from church and I would meet together specifically to pray for them.

About 6 weeks later, I arrived at the Clinic to find two dozen beautiful red roses waiting for me with a card that said, “Congratulations, Aunt Tess! Your prayers worked!” and it was signed by my medical Resident friend. God is so faithful! And he gave the credit to Jesus!
